Introduction
Reverse engineering is the process of breaking down elements into their basic parts and documenting your discovery and investigation and see what could be improved. There is three steps in reverse engineering visual analysis, functional analysis and structural analysis. Visual analysis is written description of what elements and principles of design are shown in the product. In functional analysis you discovered how all the components of the product go in and work together. Lastly structural analysis is going in depth about every single part in the product. With the help of Autodesk Inventor Professional 2013 you can 3D model the parts in the program, but first you measure the parts with either a ruler or preferably a caliper. My group, Harlee Vorburger, Weaver Williamson, Alan Torres, Kristian Catalano, and I reverse engineered an automoblox.
Visual Analysis
Isometric Top Left View- In this view of automoblox you can see how the geometric shapes of rectangles, squares and circles are proportional for the automoblox. The value of the light colors creates balance and unity of the automoblox. The space of the automoblox creates formal balance created by symmetry.
Top view- In this view of the automoblox you first see the contrast between the wood and orange plastic texture and the contrast between the bright orange color and light brown color emphasis on the orange color, You also see the formal symmetrical balance that the vertical and horizontal lines give of the automoblox. The automoblox have the geometric shapes of rectangles, squares and circles. Creating unity of consistent use of the same shapes and regular rhythm.

Side Left View- In this view you can see the curved lines give a sense of unity by the whole automoblox. You can also see redial balance in the circle shape wheel creating a sense of rhythm in the circle. The smooth texture of the wheel gives emphasis to that texture and economy because it only appears on the wheels also because the silver color.
